Brown Girl Slaying: Kelly Roland

By  |

We all know Miss Kelly Roland as a Songtress with great arms and the girl next door personality. She is slaying for us as Brown Girls. According to a report by the Center for Women’s Business Research,  African American women are the fastest growing entrepreneurial segments in the country growing at rates of 133.3% and 191.4% respectively from 1997 to 2007. Well lets add Miss Kelly Roland to the segment, she recently revealed she will be launching makeup line for women of color. Ya’ll know how much of a make-up addict I am. I’m getting excited just thinking about it.

Kelly Rowland recently did an interview with Essence on Monday night while she attended an event Sponsored by Claritin and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She explained in the interview her Make-up Artist Sheika Daley will be

venture. The product line will start off with lashes and then open its doors to more products in the future.

As a women of color this really makes me happy. We need more diversity at our make-up counters. I can appreciate Kelly looking out for all the women of color across the world. I mean there are so many lines out there today, whom have more diversity in their lines, but in my opinion still a long way from where they should be. She hasn’t provided a specific date, but make sure you keep your eyes and ears open for the official launch date. If I hear something before you do, I’ll certainly let you know. I’m still waiting for Destiny’s Child reunion tour chile. I’,m a survivor!!!!!!! Bills Bills Bills!!!!!
