Simple and Sexy V-Day!

This year Valentine’s Day falls during the week, on a Tuesday. Not as convenient as the

weekend, but there is still time to sex(y) it up with your hubby or significant other. I, for one,

enjoy the opportunity to tap into the “bad girl” in me and get creative. But since I work full-time

and have children, I don’t have time for a dreamy night at a swanky bar downtown followed by

dinner at LAWRY’S, then off to the honeymoon suite for some V-Day loving! My children are

school aged, so I’ve got to make the best out of what I’ve got at home.

There are some simple, yet sexy things that you can do to spice up the day from dusk to dawn.

Bet on black

Black is sexy and simple. Lace, cut outs and soft-flowing fabrics instantaneously boost sex

appeal. Start off the day by sliding into some sexy, lacy black unmentionables. Let your hubby

see you prance around, move slow and smile. Give him encouragement, via text, that it will be

well worth the wait.

Wear a black dress or pant suit to work.  Keep your makeup simple. But go for a look that can

easily be changed into a night look. Be sure to text sweet nothings to your man throughout the

After the children are in bed, a simple silk slip gown or bralette and panties are sexy and

inviting. Moisturize with oil and your favorite fragrance; whether that be essential oils or

perfumes.  You can use strobe cream or any cream illuminating product all over to add shimmer like glow to your skin.

Simple Sexy Makeup

Whether you’re building on makeup from earlier in the day or starting with a fresh face, keep it simple. Exaggerated winged liner, a little blush and bold lips will do the trick.

Winged Eyeliner

Use Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner to create the wing. You can apply shadow if you have time. Keep it natural and nude

Glitter Lips

Glitter is all the rage in makeup now days. Add sparkle to your look by lining your lips with lip liner, apply the lip color, then cover with glitter. This looks was created with MAC’s lip pencil in Magenta, Girl About Town lipstick, then covered with glitter from M.U.M. Cherry

Sultry Red Lips

Pop on your best red! This look was created with Lancôme’s (discontinued)Classic Red lipstick. A similar color and formula by Lancôme is their L’Absolu Rouge Hydrating Shaping Lipcolor in Rouge Chic (Cream)
