Great Affordable Getaways this Summer.

By  |

Wow, I can’t believe summer vacation is right around the corner. I literally remember the first day of school in 2016.  Though a trip to Turks & Caicos sounds absolutely fabulous, it’s not always in the budget.  No matter your budget sometimes,  you just need a beach getaway. Unfortunately, like I mentioned before you often need a lot of coins to enjoy one properly.  But before you believe the hype and convince yourself you don’t have the coins for a beach getaway, take a look at my list of 4 amazing beach destinations that are surprisingly affordable and family based.  I absolutely love these beaches and hope you get the chance to enjoy them too.

  1. Daytona Beach, Florida

“The world’s most famous beach” is exactly that!! It offers 23 miles of beach and if you love building sandcastles, beautiful sunrises, and surfing then this is a great beach to visit.  This is a family friendly destination and has all the great places to eat and play with your children.

2. Hilton Head, South Carolina

If you know me well, you’ve heard me talk about Hilton Head and how I would love to retire here. It’s about 20 miles north of Savannah, Georgia and is very popular resort style destination.  Not to mention the shopping!!! They have a huge selection of hotel and rental options, I have long found the island to be a fabulous and alluring destination.

3. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Now if you’re looking for an affordable family getaway in the Southeast. Myrtle Beach should be on the top of your list. The have a plethora of  kind friendly hotels and great food.  Have you ever been to a buffet with over 100 hundred seafood items? This is the ultimate chill away from home spot. Lazy rivers, waterslides, and indoor waterparks this is a one stop shop!!! Hands down this is my children’s favorite home away from home.

4. Gulf Shores & Orange Beach, Alabama

My first time visiting this spectacular, sugar white beach with plenty of family attractions was last August.  The neighboring towns are premier and the food was amazing. The beach offers a relaxed friendly vibe. I definitely encourage exploration.

There are hundreds of thousands of miles of coastline on the planet, and where there is a shore, there is an opportunity for a beach getaway.  I hope one of these beaches are in your near future.
